spring has sprung.

All the rainy, gloomy, dark days have finally paid off and spring is here! This leads to a couple of things;
1.) me being a lot happier.
2.) several shows in vancouver and abbotsford with some really great bands.
3.) Eisenhauer (husband's band) is starting to record our second album as of today.

enjoy the sun, chirping birds and blossoms and hopefully see you at some of the upcoming shows!

a new year.

thanks so much to everyone that joined us for all our christmas shows and bought our new christmas album. we'll put some of those songs in the closet for a couple months and bring them out right after halloween because that's when people start getting christmas crazy again right?
We're hoping to play lots of gigs around vancouver this year and do some mini tours each month. no more long epic tours across canada in a dying van unfortunately.
Eisenhauer(my husbands band that I am also apart of) is planning to record a full length album in the spring, very exciting, so that will be occupying our time for the next little while.
thanks for listening and for your continued support. if you know anyone that is looking to hire a band for any type of event-from a folk house show to the Commodore, from a retirement home to a birthday party:)-send them our way.
happy new year!!

NEW CHRISTMAS ALBUM, NEW TOUR etc.

Seasons Greetings!

Just kidding. It's far too early for talk like that... Or is it?

This is a friendly note to inform you all on some exciting news for us. This past month, I went into Buena Vista Audio in Langley, BC to record a Christmas album with my husband Jeremy Eisenhauer and our good friend Jon Anderson. It's the first compilation album that we have ever done, and we're really excited about it!

We started and finished the recording in 2 days, and by the time we were done had 8 songs, 5 originals and 3 classic Christmas cover tunes. The album is called 'Lights Used to Shine' and it's due out as of Tuesday, November 27th. AND with the release of the album, (obviously) comes a tour.

Due to the fact that it's already started snowing, and it's still early November, we didn't want to go crazy and tour across Canada again. So (un)fortunately, we're touring BC and Alberta.

If you can make it out to any of the shows (posted in the Tour section), that would mean the world to us. The album will be for sale at all the shows, and for sale here via PayPal (credit/debit) provided we still have copies. Due to lack of time and other things, we could not afford to duplicate a great amount of albums. But there should be enough.

Thanks so much for reading, and I hope this email finds you all well.
Tell your friends and have a blessed Season!

Jeremy and Sheree

Atlantic Canada Tour

Tomorrow afternoon we fly far, far away to Halifax, Nova Scotia!!! We're very excited, I was feeling a wee antsy being in one place for over 3 weeks:) The first 2 weeks we will be with Jeremy's family in Mahone Bay, then we will attempt to rent a car, which has been a very frustrating process, and just the two of us will venture to Newfoundland and New Brunswick. We were able to book a couple shows out there, so if your in the area, drop by!
Enjoy the leaves and their changing colours- sheree

Safe and Sound

We indeed arrived home safely from our 3 month trek across canada travelling in our old camper van and trailer, playing music with our dear friends, while taking in some beautiful Canadian scenery. It feels soooo good to be home! We're stationed in North Vancouver for awhile until Jer and I leave for the Maritimes in 2 weeks, we're flying!!!! No more driving for awhile and especially not in that van.
Currently, at this very moment, we are in the middle of creating our next project. Since it's the end of summer and the weather has been beautiful outside, we decided it would be a great idea to lock ourselves inside, plug in some white lights and make a christmas album:) We hope to be done recording by next week which is very exciting.
Thanks for your continued support!

almost home.

we are currently in Medicine Hat, the "gas city". Jeremy and I just went on a walk around the city while waiting for our show to start. It was a very educational walk, we learned many historical facts and read some plaques, even climbed on an old train. anywho, we cannot wait to be home!!! This is our last show in alberta, we just spent a couple days in calgary, played at the marquee room, a wonderful farm festival put on by our friend Denver and last night we played at a camp, which is always pretty entertaining.
On saturday, the 18th we play our last show of this horrendously long, beautiful tour. Please do come and celebrate with us, our show is at the Rime in Vancouver. Eisenhauer, Parlour Steps and "Sheree plett and the Jayhawks" will be making music in the evening at 9:30pm. Can't wait to see you!
